CHD

Center for Human Development – CHD is an international multidisciplinary educational unit under the umbrella of WEPA, working with training and motivation of human resources. Its programs aim to stimulate to personal development, and discovering human potentials.

CHD works in co-operation with various academic and non-academic institutions, and has different educational programs in cooperation with other WEPA units and member organizations. One of them is on Intercultural and International Communication, an ideal program to groups and individuals involved in international relations, particularly to governmental and private sectors. Through this program, participants can benefit considerably in short,  medium, and long term.

CHD tailors a varied number of short (one to seven days) courses, workshops and trainings for specific needs and interests of governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as the private sector.

The Center of Studies Documentation and Diffusion of Amazonia Realities – CEDRA is an educational and research unit under the umbruella of WEPA. It works in different fronts: consultancy, research, education, fieldwork (expeditions etc), image bank on Amazonia, indigenous people, and forest related issues. CEDRA arranges a wide variety of courses, seminars, debates, expeditions, etc.,  related to Amazonia and tropical forests issues:

PEACE

Center for Peace Building, Conflict Analises and Resolution – PEACE is a unit under the umbruella of WEPA. It works to prevent conflicts on all levels: interpersonal, within groups, companies, national and international levels. One of our aims is to prevent violence and transform conflicts into acceptable levels of co-existence among the parties involved. Through dialog, trust building and mutual understanding, PEACE analysis each situation individually, and search for alternatives leading to sustainable resolutions by non-violent means. 

PEACE is a cross-cultural and interdisciplinary educational center with a competent team of professionals from diverse academic backgrounds. This includes Media, Communication, International Relations, Peace Research, Human Rights, Environment, Sustainable Development, Social Anthropology, etc.
